Sports Medicine/Athletic Training Camp

Class Description

The Sports Medicine/Athletic Training camp is for students or prospective students interested in the medical field. This program will provide students with an opportunity to meet their teachers, fellow students and learn about common sports medicine topics such as hydration, concussions, injury prevention and musculoskeletal injuries. Students will attend lectures and labs involving these topics as well as visit tour stops around campus. Campers will get a glimpse at where and what it takes to keep the Mountaineers healthy and in the game. Possible stops include: Milan Puskar Stadium and athletic training room, Basketball Practice Facility, Cary Gym and the Coliseum.

2:00pm                 Hydration lecture

2:30pm                 Walk to Coliseum complex

3:30pm                 Return to CPASS

4:30pm                 Concussion lecture/lab

5:00pm                 Wrap up and dismiss
