Individuals will learn more advanced stroke production with emphasis placed on the serve and return of serve. Participants will continue to develop rallying skills while using individual and paired activities. Singles point play will be introduced with an emphasis on team work and sportsmanship.

Sofia Espana Perez
Sofia has been playing tennis since she was seven years old. She is from Mexico and came to the US to study and play tennis. She graduated in 2014 from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelors in Psychology. She spent 1 year working at the Houston Country Club giving tennis lessons to people of all ages and ability levels. After that she went to Minnesota State University where she was the head coach of the varsity Women’s Tennis team, and was able to complete her Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology (May 2017). This is Sofia’s first year in West Virginia and she is a student in the Sport and Exercise Psychology Doctorate program. She is looking forward to meeting people that want to learn, practice, and play tennis!
