Basic Gymnastics

Class Description

These gymnastic classes are recreational in nature and teach children basic gymnastic skills in a supportive environment.  Activities will focus on coordination, balance, flexibility, and strength and are just a few of the qualities associated with the performance of gymnastics skills.  Participants are assessed/progressed depending on abilities and assigned to the appropriate level.  Participants will have opportunity to work with the different forms of apparatus, which will be incorporated in the classes.

For liability reasons, no one will be allowed in the exercise area unless enrolled in class.  Parents are asked to supervise their other children at all times (before, during and after class).

*Child must be age 5 by the start of class.

Skill Levels

Basic Level: no basic skills or experience taking classes, or has some experience but has not mastered basic skills of tumbling and cartwheels.
